2015 Marion Community Health Assessment Released

By June 29, 2015News

The 2015 Marion Community Health Assessment is now complete. In it, we examined a wide range of health and health-related issues.

The community has decided to focus on the following five as the focus of the 2016-2020 Community Health Improvement Plan:

Substance Abuse
Obesity
Tobacco
Maternal & Child Health
Safe & Healthy Housing

We want to thank all those from our community who participated in this very thorough process. We had more than 500 of our residents respond to our surveys!

This assessment could not have been accomplished without the community’s input as well as the guidance of an amazing group of about 50 public health key informants from all sectors of Marion’s community. The process was informed by our business, social service, governmental, philanthropic, NGO, faith-based, educational, and health care partners.

We also want to thank OhioHealth-Marion General Hospital for their co-facilitation of the process and look forward to their continued partnership as the community develops and implements the health improvement plan.
