The campground program at Marion Public Health works with our local campgrounds to ensure a safe environment for campers. Inspections of campgrounds are done twice a year and our Sanitarians look at some the following:
- Adequate spacing of campsites to limit fire hazards and allow for access by emergency services
- Proper disposal of sewage
- Safe drinking water supply
- Safety of playground and other recreational areas
