The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), in conjunction with the Marion County School Nurse Coalition, are partnering for an evening of education and information about living with Type 1 diabetes. This meeting is for parents or family members of students living with type 1 diabetes.
At this time, there is not an active support group for parents of diabetic children in Marion County. Our goal is to link parents of diabetic children with the JDRF and also with other parents of diabetic children. This will help parents to have someone to call if questions arise or if they just need support from others who know exactly how they feel.
The event will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 6:00 to 7:30pm at the YMCA. Dinner is provided.
