Classification: Full-time, FLSA exempt, unclassified

Pay Range: $76,000-$83,000 depending on experience

Position Summary

Marion Public Health is looking for a motivated, innovative Director of Nursing who wants to lead a great team to an exciting future.  This pivotal role in the health department will spearhead efforts to address community needs over the next ten years.  The director of nursing will also oversee communicable disease programs, epidemiology, immunizations, and vital statistics.  Marion Public Health offers professional development opportunities such as memberships to professional organizations, and travel to national conferences.  We are proud of our commitment to work-life balance and to providing a great work experience.  We value creative, out-of-the-box thinking to stretch our small size into big outcomes.  The ideal candidate will possess this inventive style, will contribute to creating a positive work culture, and will use their leadership skills to guide health department staff toward reaching our goals.  Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s of Nursing licensure, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.   Five years’ supervisory experience preferred.   Knowledge of public health, infectious disease, and immunization administration a plus.  This is a full time position with a competitive benefits package.
