Marion Public Health is seeking a part-time Breastfeeding Peer Helper for the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program. This position works under the direction of the WIC Director and is responsible for providing breastfeeding information and support to pregnant and breastfeeding women and assisting in other clinic operations.
Minimum qualifications include experience breastfeeding an infant for at least six months, participating in the WIC program, or having participated in the WIC program or being eligible for WIC services, and a desire to help mothers meet their breastfeeding goals. The position requires the completion of a secondary education or equivalent (high school diploma or GED), supplemented by coursework in office practices and procedures, computer operations, and basic clerical operations. The candidate must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License. Marion Public Health is a tobacco free workplace.
